Account assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a versatile individual to support the work of the head of administration and finance and the school secretary. The person should have a combination of the skills mentioned below and should be willing to learn other areas. The role shall be defined based on the competencies of the best suited applicant.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
- Verifying balances in account books and correcting discrepancies.
- Encoding accounting entries for data processing.
- Administration support to the team.
- Preparation of Bank Reconciliation.
- Working with Purchases and Suppliers and monitoring maintenance contracts with organizations.
- Create and maintain inventories.
- Request quotes for the purchase of new equipment.
- Performs or delegates trips related to the service.
- Order school transport when required.
Essential skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & Excellent Skills with Microsoft Office
- Experience in Balance Sheet Account Preparation
- Detail Oriented; Organized & Timely
- Competent IT Skills
- Strong Bookkeeping Skills
- Knowledge of Business Math
- Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
