FRENCH HIGH SCHOOL WEEK
VIVE LA FRANCOPHONIE
At the initiative of the AEFE, the 8th edition of the Week of French High Schools in the World was held from November 25 to 30. This Week aims to promote the excellence and quality of teaching in French high schools around the world to new audiences, in France and abroad. It represents an opportunity to highlight the strengths of French education abroad: the specificities of French kindergarten, multilingual education as well as the baccalaureate which guarantees access to the best French and foreign higher education establishments. .
This year, the theme of the Week is: “Francophonie: establishments create and innovate”. The objective is to mobilize all educational and institutional stakeholders to promote French education abroad.
For its part, the International French School of Colombo set up on this occasion, around the teachers of the establishment, a certain number of activities around the Francophonie and the French language which allowed the students to better understand the importance of the presence of the French language in the world as well as the diversity of its practice in countries which share this language.
The main objective of the AEFE is to serve and promote a school network that is unique in the world, made up of nearly 500 establishments located in 139 countries.
This agreement defines the financial relations that it maintains with the AEFE, as well as the services to which the establishment can claim, in particular in terms of continuing training of staff, inspection, educational engineering, management advice and governance, educational guidance, use of the services and tools put in place by the Agency.
