CNED teacher and tutor of mathematics and science (physics-chemistry, life and science sciences, technology) – middle and high school, with responsibility as CNED coordinator
The French International School in Colombo (Sri Lanka) is looking for a full-time CNED teacher and tutor of mathematics and science (physics-chemistry, life and science studies, technology).
- As a CNED tutor, the successful candidate will teach mathematics and science subjects at secondary school level (16 hours of tutoring).
- In addition, he or she will teach scientific subjects (physics-chemistry, life and health sciences) in the 6th year class (7 hours 30 of teaching), which will open at the start of the new school year with a view to certification.
- This position may also include responsibility for coordinating CNED activities (1 hour per week).
Job Description

Job Description
Do you want to work in a small-scale organization, within a dynamic and motivated team? The French International School of Colombo welcomes students from preschool to high school. The institution is accredited up to Grade 6 (CM2) and is affiliated with the AEFE. Secondary school students follow the CNED program.
We are looking for a mathematics or sciences teacher for the secondary level (middle school and high school), responsible for teaching according to the French school curriculum. The role also involves coordinating the CNED teachings.
Profile:
- Hold a teaching certificate from the Ministry of National Education in France or possess at least a master’s degree.
- Have a thorough knowledge of official programs and the process of the National Diploma of Brevet and the Baccalaureate exams.
- Be capable of advising students on post-baccalaureate options.
- Have obtained at least a level 5 PIX certification.
- Have a good command of English (due to the inclusion of neo-French-speaking students).
- Have at least three years of teaching experience (experience in teaching abroad is appreciated).
