Sustainable development in the spotlight at EFIC
Education for sustainable development is one of EFIC’s priorities, starting in kindergarten.
The commitment of teachers and students is reflected in :
- The election of eco-delegates in each class, whose role is to learn about environmental and sustainable development issues, with the help of their teachers, and to raise awareness among their classmates, as well as making proposals for better environmental protection within the school.
- A visit to an organic farm and the creation of a small vegetable garden by kindergarten pupils.
- Beach clean-up during the school trip to Weligama
- A daily effort to improve the environment and preserve nature by raising awareness of eco-gestures: limiting paper waste, sorting waste, using compost…
- The creation of a solar oven by middle school students
- An exchange between our CM pupils and pupils from the Lycée Français d’Anvers on the theme of plastic pollution.
- Education in healthy, sustainable eating (Taste Week)
And many more projects are in the pipeline!
